Technical Consultation on a Toolkit for National NTD Investment Cases: Supporting investment and financing strategies
On April 3, 2023 the WHO Global NTD Programme and Uniting Efforts for Innovation, Access and Delivery hosted a technical consultation on a toolkit for National NTD Investment Cases.
As part of the strategy to improve global and national responses, and in line with the NTD road map 2021-2030, the WHO and Uniting Efforts are collaborating to support countries in developing national NTD investment cases. This collaboration aims at developing a toolkit to support NTD programmes in building investment cases to support governments and partners in mobilizing and prioritizing resources for national NTD responses.
During the first phase of this collaboration, WHO and Uniting Efforts have supported the development of a prototype toolkit. The toolkit currently covers three diseases: lymphatic filariasis, onchocerciasis and leprosy, as well as a selection of interventions against NTDs based on data and experience of the Government of Ghana. The phase I of the toolkit has been developed by RTI International in collaboration with WHO, Uniting Efforts partners and the Government of Ghana.
